What is a PPEC?

A PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care) facility is a state-licensed center offering daytime care for children (birth to 21 years) with chronic or complex medical needs, including transitional care from hospital to home. At PATCHES, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and therapists (respiratory, physical, occupational, speech) provide prescribed medical care. Overnight stays are not permitted.
